An Abrahamic Prayer at a Time of Grieving

An Abrahamic Prayer at a Time of Grieving - This resource was adapted from various interfaith prayer resources by Tony Kireopoulos, National Council of Churches.

An excerpt:

Remind us that we are both humble creatures and yet only a little lower than the angels, who have been entrusted with responsibility for your good creation and for one another. Open our ears to hear again your words, that we are indeed made in your image and according to your likeness, and your promise, that you have heard our cry and know our sufferings and have come to deliver us. And open our hearts to respond to your loving presence among us.

Holy Eucharist

Sunday, January 29, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Worship in the Episcopal Church rests on scripture and the traditions of the elegant language of the Book of Common Prayer. While the worship might seem more formal than spontaneous, we reliably read scripture every time we worship together, and we follow the liturgy that has stood the test of time. Our worship is in letting the liturgy carry us along into a deeper spiritual awareness and connection with God.
